Actually not as far as I can tell. Think about it, one of the main creatures wandering around those places are the zombies, or anything that's undead really, a festering mass of rotting flesh, and nary a thought in their head. They were just waiting for something sentient to come along so they could have a meal, that little emotional manipulation the runt pulled on you was just a bonus.
