*taking out that bedding to the hall they came from originally and setting it on fire, being careful to block things up so the smoke won't come back into the safe area, then goes back inside, strips down, and starts to boil some water*

[During the cleaning one may have heard some squeaking and chittering, not unlike rats, but a bit larger. A few moments after the smoke starts, there's a hellish scuttling, a few more, and the scuttling now sounds very, very close.]
