Oh I'm terribly sorry that your mistrust about me is making me am little irate, it's not at all like I just trusted you with information that could hurt the brotherhood. Ultimately he failed, didn't he? In all senses of the word.

Yeah, he did, abused his sister, killed innocents, took power away from the people and made them miserable, led to an even more fractured Italy, ruined his family's name and provoked a war, murdered two members of his family, and possibly, just possibly drove one into the Assassins, but the details about that aren't all that clear in the first place.
