[well the good news is that the void isn't devouring everything behind him right away. The bad news it that the grate opens up onto a downward facing pipe. So, there's going to be a bit of freefall]
[There's, a- Okay it's not soft at all. but there's liquid on the floor? and good news! It's not gore or anything corrosive. just normal water.
The room he's landed in is more like a long hallway, a series of pictures on the wall show a man being tortured in various ways, ones that are pretty damn familiar. through the open door a mostly white room, a hallway with fourteen bound figures on the walls, another white room with writing on the floor, and a stone hall are ahead.]
[Through the white room (with the splatter of blood here and there, and a large pool of it), the first hall (it's a knife that's pinning them down, and each figure looks more distressed until the end, when it's all despair), and into the writing room it is.
There used to be viable benches, and tv's set into the walls, but that's more or less been obliterated by acid, only one line of writing still visible on the floor, near the drain "Accipiter est homo homini". Which if one's seen Shaun while he's been putting a shirt on ans wasn't paranoid about it, is exactly what's been carved into his left shoulder.]
[The door's been kicked down, so it's an easy way into he stone hall. the stained class above has only geometric patterns in red and white, not unlike starts, the doors open on their own, and inside is a nearly empty courtroom.
As one walks they pick up two sets of memories, from when Shaun killed Cesare and when Cesare went insane and returned the favor. On the second one there's also Cesare's view coming faintly through, the horror, the fear at this being a part of him, the guilt. However also there's every detail from Shaun's mind, and suddenly the rooms make quite a lot of sense.]
[The courtroom is empty, save a pinioned shadow of Cesare, a table set before him. the layout is exactly like the courtyard back at good old Assassin HQ, just furnished with proper wood and courtroom fittings, and a lot less outdoors. Cesare's shadow has a completely neutral body language, but doesn't look at Malik, just at the two implements on the table. A knife and a key.
[He repeats them, trying to keep emotion out of his voice. The list is just about everything in the memories, and sounding strangely more medical, what happened after Shaun got to the hospital.
[He pauses. And Shaun's voice from nowhere goes on about his habits of subconsciously manipulating situations, even when he doesn't mean to. His need to feel in control. How he needs to learn humility, and so on.
Cesare's shadow for his part, looks a bit offended.]
[A door appears in front of him, opening up to a grey void. The world dissolves around him, and then something can be faintly heard before it all goes away]
"I think justice is the most important." "... Why?" "Without a sense of justice, a man with all the other traits will be cruel and unyielding. If he does accomplish any good, it will be incidental and not for any purposefully beneficial ends." "...Are you sure you don't want to join up?"
"...Now is not the time. Do not ask me now." "What's wrong?" "I told you. I have much to do. Later, perhaps, I will have the time to think on it."

My team will go to ground, it's up to each team's leader to decide what they want to do with their team. When it's time we'll regroup.
Now, don't you have your group to take care of?

[ He looks at the knife and key for a second before picking up the knife and tossing it to the side. Then, he picks up the key and unlocks Cesare. ]
