Look around you, just what was this lot of scientists looking to do? Keep life alive at whatever cost and they did it, we deal with them shambling about every day.

I never really thought about it as an option because... well just look at them! But all that being about as sharp as a bog is exactly what's called for here. Even if you get out after it's kicked in, you won't have much of a mind left, and just spend your days milling about these labs.
