Regardless, I will be going back down there to see what I can salvage in the next few days. I dislike the idea of being trapped there, but I must admit that many of the things stored there might come in handy.

[MEANWILE, they're standing in front of the cave, and Shaun attaches his flashlight to his gun again.]

[The layout doesn't seem to have changed any, and soon enough it's the long, winding passageway to god-only-knows how deep the cave is.]

just kind of walking here, waiting for the water to come into view.

quietly:* Where should we set up the lights?

Honestly we should keep them with us, unless one tries to get too bold.

stopping by the water, setting them down for now and crouching at the edge to take a better look*

[Just sayin if you've got a spare arm or a leg or ... torso, they wouldn't mind.]

[the water is mostly clear, only a little grit being swirled up in the lazy current. Some of the rocks seem to be providing the light, but not all of it.]

staring into it for a long time, then getting something long enough out of his bag that he can poke at part of the rock underwater and try to scrape some of it off to see what happens.*
