Tell him. As much as you think you can. There is no sense in giving him something he cannot deal with, but you also should not keep it from him.

That is perhaps too strong a word. Am I a murderer for not hiring a man, knowing that all men need money to provide for themselves? No, you are not a murderer, but you are an accomplice as much as any man. Your situation is worse because you cannot hide your victim behind a veil of anonymity. Your guilt does not mean you are the one to blame. It simply means that you are not given the same luxury as most.

There are extra rooms available at the consulate. You will spend the night there.

Thanks Cesare, Desmond will know something's wrong if I don't make the attempt to sleep in the cabin a few times, but I'd rather spend the night at the consulate.

You told me he gave away your bed. Tell him I offered a place to stay until it is available once again.

I'll pass it on, turns out that I'm rubbish at repairs though, so is a bit of cooking and cleaning fine enough to stay?

That should be fine. Do you need to pick up anything or shall we go directly?

No, I think I'm fine, I brought the bag with me in case I wanted to sleep in the barn.

Turnbull will enjoy himself. He likes entertaining, even if it is only to serve dinner to a friend. You can cook some other time. Let him have his fun tonight.

This room is free. *opens the door--there's a single bed, a closet... not much else. it clearly has not been lived in for some time, although it is clean and there are sheets on the bed.* Do you need anything? You know where the bathroom and kitchen are.

[setting up his own things, more running on autopilot than anything else. Making sure that he didn't miss anything from the cabin, getting dressed for the evening, closing the window.

Then going over to close the door, sit down on the bed, and promptly give up any pretense of being fine.]
