So what's out plan for the little bats, besides avoiding the puppy-dog-look that they might give you.

We have the light. If we simply make our path bright enough they should stay out of our way, especially if we will not be down there long.

A spotlight in front of us and one behind us? Sounds good enough.

How many samples will we take?

About ten, should be enough to get an idea of what's going on.

And how will you test them afterwards?

The same way I tested the other vial, when I'd gone down into... well, you know, before we both went completely mad, they had a few basic testing supplies about.

Regardless, I will be going back down there to see what I can salvage in the next few days. I dislike the idea of being trapped there, but I must admit that many of the things stored there might come in handy.

[The layout doesn't seem to have changed any, and soon enough it's the long, winding passageway to god-only-knows how deep the cave is.]

Honestly we should keep them with us, unless one tries to get too bold.

[the water is mostly clear, only a little grit being swirled up in the lazy current. Some of the rocks seem to be providing the light, but not all of it.]

staring into it for a long time, then getting something long enough out of his bag that he can poke at part of the rock underwater and try to scrape some of it off to see what happens.*
