[IN OUR LAST EPISODE Shaun and Cesare had a little trip down to the labs, if by "trip" we mean "a magical adventure full of torture-filled antics". Needless to say there's one historian laid up in a hospital bed, more or less asleep and bandaged like you wouldn't believe.]

*Very, very quickly becoming absorbed in the game. It's clear that even from this age he has an eye for strategy, even if it's not as refined as it will be later.*

[As time goes on he stops trying to win and more trying to teach, nodding slightly when the tiny does something right, and shaking his head a when he does something wrong]

Remember when I made that dumb move, that was when I did it. The effects of someone's actions might not hit until much later.

*sits up properly, leaning in a bit to look closely at the board, mentally moving the pieces back to their previous places and replaying what happened.

*Shaun has imparted knowledge! he takes one of his other pieces, not the queen but a rook, and mimics the trap's general idea if not how it worked exactly*
