Higurashi aftermath

[IN OUR LAST EPISODE Shaun and Cesare had a little trip down to the labs, if by "trip" we mean "a magical adventure full of torture-filled antics". Needless to say there's one historian laid up in a hospital bed, more or less asleep and bandaged like you wouldn't believe.]

*gets up and walks into the adjourning bathroom, fills his hands with water and comes back, putting them in front of Shaun's beak*

Here. Drink this.

...What's in it?

[maleborgia]

Water. I got it from the other room.

[sharpasafawkes]

[maleborgia]

Your voice was strange.

[sharpasafawkes]

-That's because you could kill me at any moment!

Why would I do that?

*most of the water has trickled through his fingers by now*

Just look at you! You're massive compared to me, and let's be honest, you could snap my neck, not just could, would, will! The only way you won't is if you find a more entertaining way to murder me!

[maleborgia]

*shakes the rest of that water off onto the floor for someone else to deal with and picks up Shaun, hopping up into the chair with him and putting him in his lap.*

But I won't. See? *places his hand on Shaun's neck in what is clearly the best move ever made*

[...Well now you've heard a bird scream, and claw wildly, and try to scramble away]

*takes his hand away, quickly although not as fast as would have been possible, no longer restraining Shaun at all*

..You cut me!

[sharpasafawkes]

[dashing under the bed, sorry tiny. It's just a mess of pleading and begging and whimpers...]

[maleborgia]

*looks at that cut on his hand, ow, then hops out of the chair and gets down on his hands and knees to peer under the bed, not making any attempt to follow Shaun under it*

Shaun? Please come out. I'm not upset with you.

[sharpasafawkes]

[After a few minutes of the same, Shaun tries to force himself to come out from under the bed. It works, mostly. there's still the shakes going on.]

Just don't do anything like that again, please?

[maleborgia]

*nods :<*

All right.

[sharpasafawkes]

[Waaarily coming out?]

[maleborgia]

*sits back on his heels*

Can you fly?

[sharpasafawkes]

Normally, but I'm not sure if that'll tear anything open.

[maleborgia]

*considers this and then nods, putting out his arm*

I'll put you on the bed.

[sharpasafawkes]

[A bit worredly climbing onto the arm, looking up at the tiny with a good chunk of worry. Looks like you're getting that responsibility lesson now]

[maleborgia]

*carefully lifts him up and lowers him onto the pillow, climbing back onto the bed after him*

[Almost, almost starts to relax]

[maleborgia]

*kneeling next to him!

[Tenses up for a moment! But then he starts to lean into it]

*being careful to keep it away from his back and neck*
